ITIC-International Teacher Identity Card

ITIC card is the well-known document confirming the preferential rights of teachers. ITIC is issued in 40 countries in the world and gives the right to use special preferential tariffs when traveling or visiting cultural landmarks etc.

Who can obtain an ITIC card?
Teachers at a full-term practice in undergraduate schools, secondary schools and universities, contracted lecturers (minimum 1 year of practice and a minimum of 18 hours of practice a week in a legitimate educational institution)
 
Validity period:
Valid from 1st September until 31st December the following year (ex. From 01.09.2009 – 31.12.2010).

Advantages:
ITIC gives the right to take advantage of discounts for transportation, accommodation, visits of cultural landmarks, etc. 
You should have:
  • A copy of your contract
  • An official note of your employer with dates of employment
  • A passport-sized photo
  • An identification card or passport
  • 16 Bulgarian leva
